Women's Lacrosse Remains in Top-Five in National Polls

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – After a season-opening victory against Southern New Hampshire University, the LIU Post women's lacrosse team remained in the top-five in both national rankings.
 
The Pioneers remain ranked No. 5 in the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine poll and also come in at No. 5 in the initial Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as well.
 
LIU Post defeated Southern New Hampshire 16-7 at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium to begin the 2018 campaign, remaining a perfect 8-0 all-time against the Penmen. Sophomores Brianna Feldman and Paige Sherlock scored four goals apiece, while Feldman added two assists for a team-best six points. Senior goalkeeper Olivia Kirk put together a great performance in the cage, making 16 saves on 23 shots on goal, recording a 69.5 save percentage.
 
The Green and Gold return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 28 when it plays host to Bentley University at 3:00 p.m.
