COMPLETE WOMEN'S RESULTS
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The LIU Post men's and women's track and field competed at the 2018 Outdoor ECC Championships at Williamsville South High School on Saturday hosted by Daemen College. Both the men's and women's teams took home third place out of six teams in the event.
The mens team earned 144 points from 22 performances behind St. Thomas Aquinas who finished in first with 213 and Roberts Wesleyan who came in second with 155.
On the track, a number of Pioneers performed well, with freshman
Destyn Harding taking home first place and first team all-conference honors in the 100-meter dash with a personal-record time of 10.97 seconds. Classmate
Jahmel Johnson finished only .03 seconds behind to claim second place in the event, also good for first team all-conference. Harding took home another individual top-three finish in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 23.01 seconds which was good for fifth place and second team all-conference. Senior
Stefan Adams raced to first place in the 200-meter dash, earning 10 points for the Pioneers with a mark of 21.65 which was a personal-best and good for first team. Freshman
Jaelin Hood also ran well in the event, grabbing third place with a time of 22.50, a personal-record which registered him for the second team.
Adams earned his second victory of the day in the 400-meter dash, winning the event by .03 seconds over St. Jacob Diodonet of St. Thomas Aquinas. Hood took home his second third-place finish which was also his second personal-record of the day, posting a time of 49.45.
Sophomore
Jeffrey Reyes clinched second place in the men's 1500-meter run with a time of 4:07.52, and freshman
Joseph Velez earned a second-place finish of his own in the 110-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 15.84 seconds which set a personal-record. Both finishes were good for first team all-ECC.
All three relay teams performed well for the Pioneers, led by the 4x400 relay team composed of Hood, Adams, freshman
Yvans Oscar and senior
Ramel Joseph, who teamed up to win the relay by nearly five seconds over St. Thomas Aquinas. The 4x100 relay team of Harding, Joseph and Johnson and senior
Kasim Thomas earned second place with a time of 42.26 seconds, just .21 seconds out of first place. The 4x800 team of Reyes, freshman

John Maher and senior
Lance Edwards took a third-place finish with a time of 8:42.01.
In the field, the Pioneers were led by junior
Angelo Fradelakis, who earned three top-three finishes and set two personal-records, including a first-place finish in the Javelin with a PR throw of 49.96 meters for first-team honors. Fradelakis also took second in the hammer throw with a second PR of 40.49 meters, and was second in the discus with a throw of 33.94 meters, both first team finishes. Fradelakis rounded out his day with a sixth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.72 meters. Sophomore
Kurt Lassiter tallied two-top five finishes, coming in fourth place in two events, first in the shot put with a throw of 12.12 meters, and later in the discus with a 31.98 mark. Sophomore
Twary McKenzie finished in third in the triple jump, leaping 12.73 meters on his first jump which earned him a spot on the All-ECC second team.
On the women's side, the Pioneers earned 98 points, behind Roberts Wesleyan who came in first with a total of 194 points and Daemen who registered 100. The Pioneers got its 98 points from 13 finishes.
Senior
Talya Williams was a champion in two individual events on the day, as she won the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:46.16, following that up with a victory in the 5000-meter run, completing the race in 18:04.18 for two first team all-conference finishes. Williams was also victorious with the 4x800 meter relay team as she partnered with freshman
Nataly Ramirez, sophomore
Nicolette Agostinacchio and sophomore
Alexandria Okon to finish the race in 9:51.00 seconds flat, exactly 10 seconds faster than the St. Thomas Aquinas team.
Okon earned first team honors, taking first in the 800-meter dash, crossing the tape with a time of 2:20.45, nearly a full second ahead of Savannah Warner from Daemen. Okon was also part of two additional relay teams who posted top-five finishes, as Ramirez, Agostinacchio, Okon, and Williams ran to a fourth-place finish in the 4x400 with a time of 4:01.71, while the 4x100 team of Ramirez, Okon, Agostinacchio, and freshman
Kathryn Ginty sprinted the event in 51.48 seconds, good for fifth place.
Sophomore
Kaitlyn Klein led the field athletes, as she was a champion in two separate events for two separate first team all-conference honors. Klein first won the shot put with a throw of 11.82 meters, and followed that up with a victory in the discus with a 38.45-meter performance, a personal record. Freshman
Alyssa Farrell also earned a victory, grabbing first place in the javelin with a throw of 36.98 meters which won by over five meters which was good for a spot on the first team. Farrell also took home fourth in the hammer throw, with a throw of 36.58 meters.
Freshman
Kayra Theodore earned two top-five finishes, first in the high jump with a third-place leap of 1.55-meters (second team) before finishing in fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 9.91 meters. Sophomore
Nicole Costanzo added another top-five finish for the Pioneers, placing fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.45 meters, good for a spot on the second team.
The Pioneers will conclude the 2018 outdoor season at the historic Penn Relays, held at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event is scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 26 to Saturday, April 28.
