RESULTS
STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The LIU Post women's golf team continued its season at the East Stroudsburg University Invitational hosted at Glen Brook Golf Club April 21 and 22.
The Pioneers finished fifth as a team with a two-day total of 700, firing a 354 on day one before improving by eight strokes for a 346 on Sunday.
Junior
Natalia Schaefer was outstanding on Sunday, carding a nine-over 81 on the par 72 course, tying for the 10th lowest score of the day. Schaefer added a round of 88 on Saturday for a two-day total of 169 to place 15th out of 31 golfers.
Fellow junior
Abby Snidemiller finished just behind Schaefer in 17th place, tallying an 82 on Sunday for a two-day total of 171. Sophomore
Shannon Fox added a 19th place finish with rounds of 84 and 90, while junior
Marissa Bennett shot a 93 on Saturday and freshman
Claire Pohalski notched a round of 93 Sunday to round out the top-four scores on both days for the Pioneers.
The Green and Gold will round out the season next weekend, April 28-29 at the Williams College Invite at Taconic Golf Club.
