NORTHPORT, N.Y. – The LIU Post Department of Athletics hosted its 37th Annual Pioneer Golf Outing at Indian Hills Country Club June 11.
 
"It was great to see some amazing support for Pioneer Athletics," remarked Director of Athletics Debbie DeJong. "We had one of our best turnouts at the event and we are very proud to say that our alumni and friends of our programs continue to help make our student-athlete experience as enjoyable as possible."
 
Underneath sunny skies, 130 golfers teed it up at the beautiful waterfront course. An additional number of guests joined the event for dinner and raffle prizes later in the evening for over 140 supporters total. Throughout the day, golfers had the opportunity to meet two-time Super Bowl winner Eric Dorsey and Brooklyn Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson as the two greeted every golfer on the course.
 
Thanks in part to presenting sponsor Schwarz Institute, along with over 40 other sponsors and participants, the department was able to raise approximately $50,000.
