FINAL LEARFIELD DIRECTOR'S CUP STANDINGS

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Following 17 total NCAA appearances, the LIU Post Department of Athletics finished 24th overall in the final standings of the 2017-18 Division II Learfield Directors Cup as announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics June 14.

The Pioneers continued to reign supreme in the East Region, finishing first among members of the East Coast Conference, Northeast-10, and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Green and Gold garnered 458.50 points throughout the year, 81 points higher than Merrimack College for the top spot in the region.

The annual competition began during the 1993-94 season and awards postseason success in 14 sports across Division II, recognizing departmental success across a broad spectrum of men's and women's sports. LIU Post earned points in field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's volleyball, women's swimming, women's basketball, men's track & field, women's lacrosse, and softball this season.

Despite a winning tradition, the 24th overall ranking in the final standings is the third-highest finish by LIU Post since the award began 25 years ago. LIU Post finished 10th overall during the 2013-14 season and 19th overall during the 2014-15 campaign.
