ECC RELEASE

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – East Coast Conference Commissioner, Dr. Robert Dranoff, announced the annual list of student-athletes named to the ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2017-18 academic year Thursday. The list was highlighted by 268 LIU Post student-athletes earning recognition, the most by any member institution for the seventh-consecutive year.
 
The Commissioner's Honor Roll is awarded to student-athletes who boast a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher. For the ninth-consecutive year, the number of recipients increased with a total of 1,336 honorees, 69 more than in 2016-17.
 
As a department, the Pioneers compiled a 3.28 cumulative GPA this year, with 96 percent of teams achieving a 3.0 GPA or higher. 349 student-athletes achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher, with 194 garnering a 3.5 or higher and 31 perfect 4.0's.
