LEVITTOWN, N.Y. – The LIU Post women's lacrosse team continued its strong tradition of giving back to the community last weekend, hosting a winter clinic for the Levittown Police Activity League (PAL) Lady Tomahawks lacrosse team.
"All the players that were there are role models in the truest sense," said Lady Tomahawks Program Director Rob Berju. "The LIU Post Pioneers women's lacrosse team's generosity in donating a Saturday afternoon to give back to the next generation of lacrosse players shows outstanding character, as well as their natural athletic abilities, and could not have been more appreciated by our players, parents and coaching staff."
LIU Post, who features three Levittown PAL program participants in sophomores
Jamie Alvino and
Katelyn Politi along with freshman
Payton Napoli, spent the afternoon putting the Lady Tomahawks through various drills and tutoring them on their skills.
The Pioneers open their season on Saturday, February 23 against Merrimack College at 11:00 a.m. inside Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
