Baseball Moves to No. 6 in NCBWA East Region Poll

Pioneers jump from No. 9 to No. 6 after four-straight wins

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – After winning four out of five games at the Northeast Challenge in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the LIU Post baseball team moved up to No. 6 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Poll, as announced by the organization Monday morning.
 
The Pioneers garnered 41 votes as they rose from No. 9 to No. 6.
 
While LIU Post opened the Northeast Challenge with a narrow 2-0 loss to No. 2 Southern New Hampshire University on Friday, Feb. 21 the Pioneers bounced back to win four-straight games.

On Saturday, Feb. 22 then defeated Felician University 3-2 and Stonehill College 5-3, took down Concordia College – New York 5-4 on Saturday, Feb. 23 then wrapped up their trip to South Carolina with a 14-4 defeat of Le Moyne College.
