BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The LIU Post baseball team was tabbed at No. 9 in the weekly National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Poll, as announced by the organization Monday morning.
The Pioneers earned 22 points point along with its No. 9 ranking. In its most recent game, LIU Post fell 2-1 to Pace University in a game that went to 10 innings on Friday, Mar. 1 in Pleasantville, New York. Senior
Anthony Vaglica hit his first home run of the season against the Setters while senior
James Varela struck out seven in 5.2 innings. Varela's 25 strikeouts currently rank first in the East Coast Conference.
