IWLCA POLL
NIKE/US LACROSSE POLL
 
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The LIU Post women's lacrosse team maintained its rankings in both national polls Monday after being ranked No. 6 by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) and No. 5 by U.S. Lacrosse Magazine.
 
LIU Post earned 463 points in the IWLCA poll to stay at No. 6 and also remained at No. 5 in the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse poll.
 
Currently 2-0 on the season, the Pioneers most recently played on Wednesday, Feb. 27 against Southern Connecticut State University. The Pioneers prevailed 15-5 and were led by junior Alyssa Mallery's game-high six goals and junior Angela Deren's game-high four assists. Freshman Whitney Moran led the game in draw controls with seven while senior Carly Spano, junior Paige Sherlock and sophomore Jamie Alvino caused two turnovers each. Freshman goalkeeper Hailey Duchnowski finished with six saves and two ground balls.
