WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – The East Coast Conference recognized five LIU Post student-athletes as conference Players of the Week on Monday following stellar individual performances last week.
 
Baseball's Joshua Loeschorn, women's lacrosse's Angela Deren, women's track & field's Alyssa Farrell, and softball's Julia Seader and Hannah Olshevski earned Player of the Week recognition.
 
Loeschorn threw two complete games last week, including a 7-0 shutout of Mercy College on Saturday and a 3-1 victory against Saint Thomas Aquinas on Mondau. He combined for 13 strikeouts while only allowing one earned run, one walk and five hits in 18 innings.
 
Deren helped women's lacrosse maintain its undefeated record in conference play after combining for 11 assists and one goal last week. During the Pioneers' 19-1 win against Queens College on Wednesday she finished with eight assists and on Saturday she added three helpers and one goal in LIU Post's 18-17 triumph over No. 15 Mercy.
 
Farrell placed second in the javelin throw (39.50 meters) and 13th in the hammer throw with a personal-best mark of 42.01 meters at the Towson Invitational this past weekend. Farrell posted personal-bests two-consecutive meets, leading to back-to-bac Field Athlete of the Week recognition.
 
Seader and Olshevski helped lead LIU Post to an 8-2 overall record and a 5-1 mark in conference play. Seader was unstoppable at the plate, hitting.600 (21-for-35) at the plate with six home runs and 17 runs batted in. She also scored 13 runs, posted a .615 on-base percentage and netted a 1.229 slugging percentage after compiling 10 total extra-base hits. Seader hit safely in all 10 games and recorded multiple hits during eight of 10.
 
Olshevski posted a 5-0 mark in the circle with a 0.83 earned run average during six appearances. She also added one save and posted shutouts against Queens and Molloy. Ol­shevski allowed only 27 hits and struck out 18 batters over 33.2 innings.
