BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 30, 2016) - The LIU Post men's basketball team erased a 15-point second-half deficit Wednesday in a thrilling 73-70 overtime win against Daemen College in an East Coast Conference tilt at the Pratt Recreation Center.

Trailing 58-44 midway through the latter period, the Pioneers (2-5, 1-0 ECC) came back with a 21-7 run to tie the score at 65-all with 32 seconds left. Senior guard Jared Hall (South Orange, N.J.) had the game-tying lay-up for the green and gold.

Senior guard Jemal Mosley (Nanuet, N.Y.) knocked down back-to-back three-pointers in the streak. Senior forward Greg Dotson (Abington, Pa.) and junior guard Kyle McLeggan (Jersey City, N.J.) each added a trifecta, as well.

In the extra session, Daemen (5-2, 0-1 ECC) held an early two-point advantage (68-66), but a pair of free throws and a subsequent lay-up by Mosley put LIU Post in front for good.

The Wildcats had an opportunity to force a second overtime though. A potential game-tying three-point attempt at the buzzer by red-shirt senior guard Supreme Hannah (Rochester, N.Y.) missed the mark to send the Pioneers to the victory.

Dotson scored a game- and season-high 24 points on 8-of 12 shooting from the field in the win. He was also 5-of-7 from downtown and grabbed 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the 2016-17 campaign.

Mosley totaled 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Hall chipped in 12 points, four rebounds and four assists. Freshman forward Hall Elisias (Valley Stream, N.Y.) added seven points, 13 rebounds and a pair of blocks.

Head Coach Erik Smiles and his LIU Post squad are back in action Saturday (Dec. 3), when they travel to Springfield, Mass. for a 3:30 p.m. opening tip at American International College.
