CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Jan. 28, 2017) - The East Coast Conference released its preseason women's indoor track and field poll Friday, and LIU Post was voted to finish sixth in the tally.
The Pioneers, who earned 31 points in the poll, are coming off a 2015-16 season in which they placed eighth at the ECC Championships.
Junior
Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) is the lone returning All-ECC honoree for the green and gold. She garnered second-team accolades last season, after a fourth-place run of 5:19.10 in the mile.
Roberts Wesleyan topped the ledger with 81 points and nine first-place votes. St. Thomas Aquinas followed in second with 67 points. Georgian Court (55 points) was third in the poll.

Kevin Buckley and his LIU Post squad are back in action Friday (Feb. 3), when they compete at the Metropolitan Championships at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex at noon in Staten Island.
