2017-18 LIU Post Men's Basketball Schedule

Brookville, N.Y. – The LIU Post men's basketball team will travel and take on Big East powerhouse Seton Hall University in an exhibition matchup at Walsh Gymnasium on Saturday November 4, as a tune-up for the regular season. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.

"We are excited for the opportunity to play against a team with such a storied history as Seton Hall," said head coach Erick Smiles, who is entering his fifth season in 2017-18.  "It will be a great experience for the Pioneers to play in that type of atmosphere against a high-level team. While we know it will be a tough test, we are thrilled for the chance to play well and continue to show people the quality of basketball at the Division II level."

This is the second time in three years the Pioneers will have met a Division I team in the preseason, as they played Manhattan College in an exhibition tilt on November 8, 2014.

Seton Hall is coming off a season in which it went 21-12 and qualified for the Big East Tournament and lost to Villanova in the semifinal, before seeing its season end in the first round of the NCAA Championships with a loss to Arkansas.

The Pioneers open the regular season on Friday, November 10 at the Wilmington Tip-off Classic when they play the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, in Wilmington, Del, at 6 p.m.
