GRAND LAKE, Colo. (May 15, 2017) - On Monday, LIU Post senior attacker
Connor Bird (Syosset, N.Y.) and senior defender
Cara Douglas (West Islip, N.Y.) were tabbed as participants for the 2017 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division II Senior All-Star Game.
Bird and Douglas were two of just 44 student-athletes chosen to play in the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game on Saturday, Jun. 3 at 12:45 p.m. at U.S. Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md.
Bird, an All-ECC and IWLCA All-North Region first-team selection in 2017, was the Pioneers' second-leading scorer this year with 61 points (41 G, 20 A). She finished in the Top-15 in the ECC in goals, assists and points and ranked fourth amongst the league's leaders in draw controls (60).
Meanwhile, Douglas totaled 32 draw controls, 24 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers for the nation's No. 3 scoring defense, which yielded an ECC-best average of 6.37 goals per game. She has also garnered All-ECC and IWLCA All-North Region first-team accolades this season.
