BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Sophomore Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor continued his impressive start to the 2018-19 season Saturday as he finished with a game and career-high 26 points in the LIU Post men's basketball team's 90-62 loss to The College of Saint Rose inside the Pratt Recreation Center.

Along with leading the game in scoring and setting a new career-high, Ortiz-Traylor also led the game in rebounding with nine and added two blocks and two assists. Ortiz-Traylor's previous career-high came against the University of New Haven on Wednesday, Nov. 14 when he finished with 22 points. He also set a career-high for three-pointers made with four and has led the Pioneers in both scoring and rebound in every game this season.

Freshman Kendell Ogilvie also set an early career-high for LIU Post after he contributed 20 points and seven rebounds.  Ogilvie shot 6-for-16 from the field including an efficient 4-for-6 from behind the three-point line.

The Golden Knights limited Ortiz-Traylor to eight points in the opening half but could not contain him in the second; he exploded offensively, scoring 18 points that included a 4-for-6 effort from beyond the three-point arc. Ortiz-Traylor ended the game on a high-note after making a pair of three-pointers with 4:59 and 3:49 left on the clock.
