Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor, the LIU Post men's basketball team fell 81-69 to the Redhawks Sunday inside the Pratt Recreation Center.
Ortiz-Traylor went 12-of-24 from the field and 4-of-4 from the free throw line on route to his game-high 28 points. His season-high 13 rebounds also led the game as he produced his fourth double-double of the season and scored over 20 points for the seventh time in eight games. He also added two blocks and two steals.
Freshman
Kendell Ogilvie added 13 points and six rebounds while freshman
Seth Goumba chipped in 11 points and handed out four assists.
The Pioneers' 28 made field goals was a season-high and their 69 points was just one point short of its season-high 70 from its game against Daemen College on Friday, Dec. 14. LIU Post's 12 steals also matched its season-best that it set against the College of Saint Rose on Saturday, Nov. 24.
While the Pioneers trailed 45-23 and Ortiz-Traylor was held to six points in the first half, LIU Post produced its highest-scoring half of the season in the second as it scored 46 points. Ortiz-Traylor poured in 22, tying his 22 points in the second half against Nyack College on Saturday, Dec. 1 for the most in a half by a Pioneer this season.
