BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Despite a 25 point, 11 rebound effort by sophomore
Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor the LIU Post men's basketball team fell 97-68 to Molloy College in its East Coast Conference opener Wednesday night inside the Pratt Recreation Center.
Ortiz-Traylor's 25 points was a game-high as he tallied his third double-double of the season. He has now scored 20 or more points in four of the Pioneers five games.
Freshman
Kendell Ogilvie added 12 points and a career-high eight rebounds and has now scored in double figures in four of LIU Post's five games this season. Redshirt-senior
Neil Feminella had an early career-high of eight points along with three rebounds and three assists.
As a team, LIU Post had a season-high in points with 68 and a season-low in turnovers with six. The Pioneers 28 defensive rebounds also matched their season-best.

Nah'Jel Sands knocked down a midrange jumper with 19:24 on the clock and freshman
Seth Goumba sunk a pair of free throws with 18:40 remaining to give the Pioneers an early 4-0 advantage.
A three-point play by Ortiz-Traylor with 17:49 left in the half put the Pioneers ahead 7-4 and a layup by sophomore
Jackson Jordan gave LIU Post a 9-7 lead at 17:04. Ortiz-Traylor knocked down a pair of free throws at 16:26 to give the Pioneers an 11-10 lead, the final time they led in the contest.
