RESULTS
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The LIU Post indoor track and field teams put together solid showings at the East Coast Conference Championships, as the women's team finished third overall and the men's team added a fourth-place finish Feb. 23.
Freshman
Kayra Theodore started the meet with a victory in the high-jump for the women's team, taking first place with a 1.53-meter jump, besting Roberts Wesleyan's

. Sophomore Nicole Constanzo added a third-place finish in the same event, clearing a height of 1.50 meters. Also in the field events, sophomore
Kaitlyn Klein earned eight points with a season-best toss of 12.11 meters in the shot put, taking second place. Freshman
Tatyanna Ogbue capped off the field events with a fifth-place finish in the weight throw, recording 10.79 meters for a new personal-best.
Freshman
Jacqueline Ginty highlighted the sprinting events on the women's side, finishing the 60-meter dash in 7.92 seconds for a fifth-place finish. Senior
Talya Williams earned a victory in the one-mile run, besting the competition with a 5:06.19 finish to win by 14 seconds. Williams followed up with another first-place finish with a time of 10:28.60 in the 3,000-meter run.
Sophomore
Alexandria Okon added another victory for the Pioneers in the 500-meter dash with a meet-record time of 1:17.47, while sophomore
Nicolette Agostinacchio finished just behind in third-place at 1:19.37. Rounding out the women's team was junior
Kaitie Schillaci with a fourth-place finish in the 1,000-meter run at 3:16.79.
The men's team had an equally impressive performance, highlighted by graduate student
Stefan Adams in the 500-meter dash with a meet-record time of 1:03.24 to win by three seconds. Freshman
Jaelin Hood scored for the Pioneers as well during the middle-distance events, taking third-place in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 50.47 seconds.
Junior
Lance Edwards added the final victory for the Pioneers, taking first in the 1,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 2:34.67, outpacing the pack by nearly two seconds. Sophomore
Jeffrey Reyes added a third-place finish in the event, clocking a personal-best time of his own at 2:36.33.
In the sprinting events, freshman
Destyn Harding led the way for LIU Post. Harding notched personal-bests in the 200-meter dash at 22.82 seconds and in the 60-meter dash at 6.95 seconds to finish fifth and second, respectively. Freshman
Jahmel Johnson also scored for the Green and Gold in the 60-meter dash, finishing fifth at 7.06 seconds. Fellow freshman Joseph Valez rounded out the sprinters with a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.92 seconds.

Yvans Oscar placed third in the 4x400-meter relay, finishing with an LIU Post season-best time of 3:24.87.
Sophomore
Angelo Fradelakis added points for LIU Post in the men's weight throw, recording a distance of 12.91 meters to take fifth-place.
The five winners from Friday's ECC Championships automatically qualify for the ECAC/ICAAAA Last Chance Meet in Boston next weekend.
