BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The LIU Post men's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 in East Coast Conference play with a 17-7 victory against Molloy College at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium on Saturday, March 30.
The Pioneers dominated to remain perfect in conference play, outshooting the Lions by a 53-22 margin. On the ground, LIU Post collected 48 ground balls to just 26 for Molloy. Defensively, the Green and Gold cleared 16 of 18 attempts and posted a 25-2 edge in face off wins.

Connor Farrell who finished a perfect 22-for-22 in faceoff attempts, gathering 20 a game-high 20 ground balls. The dynamic offensive duo of sophomore

Jake Gillis combined for 10 goals and four assists, while junior

Steven Frank scored twice during the first three minutes of the contest to open up a 2-0 lead for LIU Post. After Molloy got on the board, the Pioneers rattled off five unanswered goals to take a 7-1 advantage. The six-goal margin remained at the end of the half with the Pioneers leading, 9-3.
The Pioneers put the game away during the third quarter, scoring five unanswered for the second time to jump ahead by a 15-5 margin. Both sides scored an even two goals apiece during the final quarter for the 17-7 final.
LIU Post returns to action in non-conference play on Tuesday, April 2 when the Pioneers play host to Wilmington University (Del.) at 3:30 p.m.
