BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The LIU Post men's lacrosse team extended its current win streak to six games and saw its ranking improve by one spot to No. 5 in both national polls during the Week 10 ranking release on Monday, April 15.
 
The Green and Gold move up one spot in the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine poll while maintaining its top-five ranking in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association poll.
 
LIU Post was triumphant against the New York Institute of Technology in the 2019 Battle of the Boulevard rivalry matchup, downing the Bears by a 17-14 final. Junior Alex Russell led the Pioneers with four goals, while senior Connor Farrell scored a career-high two goals and added 26 wins on 35 faceoffs with a game-high 23 ground balls.
 
The Pioneers close out regular season East Coast Conference play on Saturday, April 20 when they take on No. 9/8 Mercy College at 2:30 p.m. for the regular season title.
