WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The LIU Post women's golf team posted a sixth-place finish at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational hosted by West Chester University at Penn Oaks Golf Club on April 8 and 9.
The Green and Gold placed sixth out of eight teams, compiling a two-day total of 760, posting a round of 385 on Monday before improving by 10 strokes for a 375 on Tuesday. West Chester University took the team title by 28 strokes over Mercyhurst University and Gannon University, tallying a two-round score of 668. In addition to the team championship, the Golden Rams' Juliarose Genuardi took medalist honors by five shots after an incredible bounceback day on day two, posting rounds of 86 and 74 to edge out teammate Meghan O'Maray.

Abby Snidemiller posted the top finish for LIU Post, finishing 17th individually with a score of 180. Classmate

Claire Pohalski claimed 26th and 27th-place, respectively, with two-day totals of 187 and 188. Senior
Marissa Bennett added a 40th-place finish to round out the team scoring, while sophomore
Clare Alaimo finished in 44th-place.
Snidemiller led the Pioneers with a round of 89 on Monday and stayed consistent with a 91 on Tuesday for the top place finisher for the Pioneers. Pohalski posted the best score of the day for the Green and Gold on Tuesday, improving by 12 shots on day one to fire an 88 in the closing round.
The Pioneers close out their spring season on Friday, April 19 when they compete against Jefferson and East Stroudsburg University at The ACE Club at 1:30 p.m.
