WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – The East Coast Conference tabbed men's lacrosse attackman Jake Gillis as the league's Rookie of the Year to lead eight Pioneer all-ECC honorees as announced on Saturday, May 4.
 
LIU Post garnered six first-team selections, including Gillis, William Snelders, Alex Russell, Ryan Blume, P.J. Usak, and Connor Farrell. Mike Kadnar and Steven Frank earned second-team recognition.
 
Gillis has had an outstanding debut season for LIU Post, ranking second in the league behind Snelders with 44 goals and also ranked seventh in assists with 18 and third in points at 62. During the season, he earned six ECC weekly accolades, including two Player of the Week awards and four Rookie of the Week honors. On the national stage, he ranks 25th in points per game (4.42), 14th in goals per game (3.14), and fifth in shot percentage (.537).
 
LIU Post is looking to capture the ECC championship later this afternoon when it battles Mercy College at 3:05 p.m. at President's Stadium on the campus of the New York Institute of Technology. Saturday's championship is being broadcast as part of the NCAA Division II Showcase and will be streamed on all Division II social media sites, along with the ECC Network.
