GREELEY, Colo. – LIU women's rugby assistant coach Lindey Wise was named to the Women's Collegiate All-American XVs coaching staff for the USA Rugby Women's All-Star Week in August on Thursday afternoon.
 
Wise will serve as the Project Soar Shadow Coach where she will spend the week working alongside and learning from the top high performance coaches in the country.
 
"I'm honored to have this opportunity with USA Rugby," said Wise. "I'm eager to learn from the best coaches in the nation then come back and apply that knowledge here at LIU."
 
Project Soar was launched by USA Rugby in 2018 and is a men's and women's development program designed to accelerate the growth of high performance coaches in the U.S. It streamlines the pathway to earn a National Team coaching appointment  through fully-integrated workshops, presentations and various instructional regimen.
 
The event will see four teams including the All-Americans, Women's Premier League East & West All Stars, as well as a DI/D2 All-Star team. In between the two match days, the All-Americans will play an exhibition match against the Glendale Marlins Division I team prior to the main event resuming on Saturday, August 3.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 3 
11:30 a.m. - Losers of Thursday's matches
1:30 a.m. - Winners of Thursday's matches

Wise and the Sharks begin their preseason mid-August and play their first match of the season on Saturday, August 31 against Brown University at 12:00 p.m. in Providence, Rhode Island.
