In 2004-05: Started in 15 of his 27 appearances in 2004-05, including 13 in the last 18 contests… Averaged 21.3 minutes, 4.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest… Scored 16 points on 6-for-8 shooting and pulled down nine rebounds at Queens (Feb. 12)… Contributed 10 points and seven rebounds in home victory against Bridgeport (Jan. 5).
In Football: Was second-team All-Northeast-10 Conference wide receiver on head coach Bryan Collins’ football team this past fall… caught game-winning touchdowns in NCAA Division II Championship victories over West Chester (2.6 seconds left) and Shepherd, W. Va., as the Pioneers advanced to the quarterfinals round for the first time in school and conference history.
High School/Personal: Played basketball for Coach Civalli and was an All-Nassau Conference I choice out of Farmingdale High School… also garnered all-conference accolades in volleyball for the Dalers, and won the football team’s “Unsung Hero” award… son of Steve and Asti Heller… brother, Scott, played football at St. John’s… twin sister, Erika, played basketball (2001-02) and lacrosse (2003) at C.W. Post… majoring in childhood education.
