Motions: Looking for execution, sharp and exact arm placement and face/voice projections. Dancers should have strength and control in their movements.

Technical Skills: Looking for dancers with proper alignment, placement, technique and control in their skills, and candidates who demonstrate consistency in skills and ability.

Team Precision: Looking for rhythm, style, personality, execution, and synchronization. Applicants must be able to both learn and perform choreography quickly.

Appearance: Looking for neatness, poise, and posture. Applicants should present themselves in a professional manner. Hair should be groomed and pulled back and out of the face.

Enthusiasm: Looking for eye contact and confidence. Applicants must be comfortable performing skills and all other materials learned. Tryouts are not about showing perfect skill, but about performing the skill with 100% effort and energy.

Personality: Collegiate attitude, maturity, and a strong work ethic. Looking for dancers who want to play an integral role in a spirit program. Applicants must be willing to both give and take, and work hard to be a part of a nationally-ranked team.

Above all, we are looking for dedicated, spirited, and well-rounded individuals who will represent the LIU Post Department of Athletics in a collegiate fashion.
