An assistant coach for 2013 LIU Post Athletic Hall of Fame inductee Tom Galeazzi from 2002-06, Devine Smith is in his sixth season back with the Pioneers in 2015-16.

Smith's most recent coaching stint was at East Coast Conference rival Dowling College, where he served as an assistant for six seasons (2007-13). In that capacity, he was responsible for marketing, scheduling, scouting, recruiting, and proposing travel expense budgets.

Lastly, from 1999-2002, Smith worked as an assistant coach at Copiague High School. While there, he tutored the post players on offensive play, and defensive containment.

Smith presently resides in Bay Shore, N.Y.
