BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Another balanced attacked combined with clutch three-point shooting late helped the LIU Post men's basketball team outlast Molloy College, 89-83 in overtime Feb. 7.

Kyle Taylor-McLeggan scored a game-high 24 points to lead five players in double figures for the Pioneers. The Jersey City native hit 4-of-7 shots from beyond the arc and 8-of-9 attempts from the free throw line while adding three assists. Senior
Aary Bibens filled up the stat sheet Wednesday with 19 points, six assists, and six rebounds. Three players added 20-point efforts for Molloy, including 21 points by Josh Dennis and Nick Corbett.
Each team was efficient on the offensive end, combining for 37 assists on 61 made field goals, but LIU Post shot 82 percent (23-28) from the free throw line while Molloy hit just 50 percent (7-of-14) of its attempts.
After falling behind by six points (59-54) just past the midway point of the second half, LIU Post rattled off eight consecutive points to take a 61-59 lead. Nick Corbett knocked down a contested jumper with three seconds remaining to force overtime.
Bibens and McLeggan knocked down three-pointers to open a six-point edge midway through the extra period, and the Pioneers never looked back as they did not relinquish the lead the rest of the way, holding on for the 89-83 victory to improve to 8-5 in ECC play this season.
The Pioneers will look to make it three in a row when they travel to Queens College to battle the Knights on Saturday, Feb. 10 beginning at 3:30 p.m.
