STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. –
Fresh off being named East Coast Coast Conference Track Athlete of the Week Monday, junior Alexandria Okon took home a first-place finish in the 800-meters Friday as the LIU Post men's & women's track & field teams competed at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invitational inside the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

Okon crossed the line at 2:17.78 seconds in the 800-meters to finish first while also leading off the 4x400-meter relay with a split of 60.0 along with sophomore Nataly Ramirez (62.5), freshman Margaret McKeever (65.2) and junior Nicolette Agostinacchio (63.9). The quartet finished fourth with a time of 4:12.07 seconds. Freshman Imoniri Aghomon placed sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 46'11.5".

Senior Kaitie Schillaci posted a personal-best time in the mile after she clocked imn at 5:39.94 seconds while Ramirez' time of 2:30.81 seconds in the 800-meters was also a personal-best.

Freshman Cara Pouletsos won her heat in the 200-meters in 30.79 and as a team the Pioneer women finished 12th of 22 teams.

On the men's side, freshman DeAndre Smith cleared 6'4'' in the high jump to finish fourth and sophomore Destyn Harding also earned a fourth-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.06.

The team of Harding (52.6), junior Jeffrey Reyes (53.4), sophomore Troy Benson (52.2) and sophomre Michael Krebs (54.6) won their heat of the 4x400-meter relay in 3:32.97 seconds.

Reyes' time of 2:01.06 seconds in the 800-meters was a season-best while freshman Andrew Ayroso and freshman Robert Skidmore earned personal-best times. Ayroso clocked in at 24.97 in the 200-meters and Skidmore posted a mark of 38'3.25'' in the shot put.

The Pioneer men finished 18th of 21 teams.
