THE SEASON SO FAR
Led by ECC Women's Track & Field Preseason Athlete of the Year junior
Alexandria Okon, the Pioneer women have had a strong season in 2019. Okon was honored as ECC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Monday, Jan. 7 and Monday, Jan. 14. She's earned four first-place finishes so far; the 800-meters at the Spartan Invitational on Friday, Jan. 11, the 500-meters and 4x400-meter relay at the Wagner College Invitational on Friday, Jan. 4 and the 4x400-meter relay at the Wagner College Shootout on Friday, Dec. 7. She has also earned seven other top-eight finishes during the season.
Junior
Nicolette Agostinacchio was part of the first-place finishing 4x400-meter relay team at the Wagner College Shootout and finished inside the top-eight on six other occasions.
In the field events, freshman
Imoniri Aghomon has had a strong freshman year as she was named ECC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, Jan. 7, after winning the shot put and weight throw at the Wagner College Invitational. Her mark of 36'1.5'' in the shot put set a new program record. Sophomore Katelyn Klein has also earned five top-eight finishes in the throws, highlighted by a second-place finish in the shot put at the Wagner College Shootout.
Sophomore
Kayra Theodore has been impressive in the jumps as she won the high jump at the Wagner Shootout, earning a total of three top-eight finishes.
On the men's side, sophomore
Destyn Harding has been LIU Post's standout track performer. He took first-place in the 60-meters at the Fastrack Season Opener on Friday, Dec. 1 and earned seven top-eight finishes throughout the season.
Freshman
DeAndre Smith has been LIU Post' standout field performer. He won the high jump at the Wagner College Invitational and claimed five other top-eight finishes.
LAST TIME AT THE ECC CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Pioneers earned five first-place finishes at the 2018 ECC Indoor Championships; senior
Talya Williams won the one-mile and 3,000-meter runs, freshman
Kayra Theodore won the high-jump while Okon set a meet record and won the 500-meters. On the men's side, senior
Stefan Adams won the 500-meters.
The women's team finished third overall and the men finished fifth.

Entry is $5 for adults, $3 for students with ID, senior citizens and children (age 5-12). Children under five will be admitted free.
