BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Sophomore Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor recorded a double-double for the eleventh time in the 2018-19 season and two members of the LIU Post men's basketball team had career-highs Wednesday night but the Pioneers could not get over line against the University of Bridgeport, falling 144-76 inside Harvey Hubble Gymnasium.

Ortiz-Traylor had a team-high 28 points and 10 rebounds as he recorded his eleventh double-double of the season. Senior Jamal David added a career-high 11 points and knocked down a career-best three three-pointers. Junior Adam Heitner and freshman Kendell Ogilvie added 10 points each, with Heitner's total being a career-high.

While the Pioneers played the Purple Knights close early, a redshirt-senior Neil Feminella layup tied the score 3-3 with 17:13 on the clock, LIU Post struggled to contain Bridgeport's offensive firepower as the Purple Knights knocked down eight three-pointers in the first half to take a 57-29 lead into halftime. The second half was more of the same for the Pioneers as the Golden Knights further built their lead, making 24 three-pointers for the game and earning a 144-76 win.
