LIU Post to Serve as Proud Host of Adidas Uprising Camp

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Jul. 14, 2015) - From July 15-17, LIU Post's Pratt Recreation Center will welcome in the nation's top high school basketball players for the Adidas Uprising All-American Camp.

The event is open to the public and the entrance fee is $10. Past participants of the Adidas Uprising Camp include Tracy McGrady (1996) and current NBA superstar Dwight Howard (2003).

The dates and times for the camp are as follows:
Wednesday, July 15: 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 16: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday, July 17: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

"There are many benefits of LIU Post hosting this camp. One is the opportunity for us to get our name out there on a national level," said Head Men's Basketball Coach Erik Smiles. "This camp will be featured in athletic publications across the country and help make LIU Post a more recognizable brand. It will help in the recruitment of student-athletes, as well as regularly-admitted students across the nation."

The following coaches are expected to be in attendance: Rick Pitino (University of Louisville), John Calipari (University of Kentucky), Roy Williams (University of North Carolina), Mike Krzyzewski (Duke University), Tom Crean (Indiana University), Jay Wright (Villanova University) and Bill Self (University of Kansas).
