Men’s Basketball’s Ortiz-Traylor Named Second Team All-ECC

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – On the heels of his historic 2018-19 campaign, sophomore Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor of the LIU Post men's basketball team was named All-East Coast Conference (ECC) Second Team Friday night, as announced by the league at its annual awards banquet.
 
Along with setting a new program record for highest single season scoring average, Ortiz-Traylor's 27.8 point per game average leads the ECC and is currently ranked fourth in the nation. He finished the season with 694 points and 244 made field goals which both currently top the conference.  Ortiz-Traylor recorded 10 games of scoring 30 or more points and 12 games of 20 more while scoring in double figures in each of the Pioneers' 25 games.
 
He averaged 9.8 rebounds per game, good for third in the ECC.  His 245 total rebounds are also third in the conference and his 181 defensive rebounds rank second.  Ortiz-Traylor's 39 blocks and 44 steals are third and fourth in the league.
