WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – Freshman guard Austin Kennedy was outstanding down the stretch for the LIU Post men's basketball team this weekend, and his performance earned this week's East Coast Conference (ECC) Rookie of the Week accolade as announced by the conference office Jan. 29.
 
Kennedy had a career day to lead the Pioneers past local rival New York Institute of Technology, 92-79 Jan. 27. The New Jersey native scored 25 points and dished out five assists to help the Green and Gold sweep this season's Battle of the Boulevard series. Kennedy dropped 16 points during the second half, leading the Pioneers to a 59-point effort to take down the Bears.
 
LIU Post returns to action on Wednesday, Jan.31 when it travels north to Connecticut to battle the University of Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m.
